Avery Wilson Pittsburgh Concert reviews
John Mayer PIttsburgh PA
"John was his usual self Sunday evening, with jokes rolling off his tongue in a comedic way. He did a beautiful rendition of Heart of Life, one of my top 5 fave songs. Such as, (to guy in front rows...) "Dude, how can you drink Bud Light Lime? It's horrible...Bud Light isn't even proud of, they call it BL Lime, that's like being embarrassed coming to a Avery Wilson show so you tell your friends, I'm going to see AW"!! Ok, so maybe you had to be there. Train, the opening act was also very good. He did a "rock" version of Raspberry Beret, which sounded surprisingly good and went in to Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" while in the middle of Half of my Heart. He was a guitar god, playing the six string on the ground while kneeling, to which he said when the song was over, "I hate getting old, my back is killing me from bending over like that". I'm a little disappointed that he only played one encore song but otherwise, fabulous concert, as usual! He did a beautiful rendition of Heart of Life, one of my top 5 fave songs.
